| Vice Minister Liao meets Japan-China Economic Association delegation |

On September 26, Vice Minister Liao Xiaoqi met with the Japan-China Economic Association delegation led by Mr. Fujio Cho, head of the JCEA, and Mr. Mitarai Tatsuo, head of Japan Economic organizations Union. The two sides exchanged ideas on China’s new foreign investment policy, china-Japan economic relations, and economic cooperation in Eastern Asia.
Vice Minister Liao noted the special occasion of JCEA’s visit, the 35th Anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. Given the importance of the two countries in Asia and their geographic proximity, the leaders of China and Japan had worked steadily to improve bilateral relations and overcome barriers of development. It was advisable to cultivate and maintain a mutually benefiting strategic relation between the two countries, Liao said, and to find new opportunities for growth in areas such as energy, environmental protection, information technology, SMEs, finance, and software outsourcing.
During the talk, Mr. Fujio Cho and Mr. Mitarai Tatsuo addressed a wide range of issues concerning China-Japan economic cooperation, and made substantial suggestions about further development.
Japan-China Economic Association is Japanese organization dedicated to promoting trade and economic ties with China. This is its 33th visit to China.
