Vice Minister Liao holds talks with Egyptian Minister of Investment

In the morning on Oct 31, Vice Minister Liao Xiaoqi held talks with Egyptian Minister of Investment Mahmoud Mohieddin during his visit there.

Liao praised the achievements gained in bilateral economic and trade cooperation, especially the fast growth of China’s investment in Egypt. China’s enterprises invested relatively successfully in port construction, oil, equipment manufacture and industrial produce. The Going Global strategy enforced by China’s government encouraged enterprises to expand investment in Egyptian market and promote complete development in trade and economic cooperation.

Mohieddin welcomed Liao’s visit to Egypt and expressed his affirmation and admiration of Chinese enterprises’ expanded investment. Chinese enterprises were expected to do better and better. He also said Egyptian relative departments were willingly to provide convenience for China’s investment.

At the end of the talks, they were present at the project contract signing ceremony of China’s assistance program in Egypt.
