Vice Minister Liao heads a group to visit Qatar

At the invitation of Qatar Minister of Finance and Economy Kamal, Vice Minister Liao Xiaoqi headed a group to visit Qatar from Nov 3 to 4. During his visit, Liao met with Qatar Minister of Finance and Economy Kamal, Foreign Minister Mahmud, and Minister of Energy and Industry respectively.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed China-Qatar economic and trade cooperative development in recent years and exchanged views on strengthening further cooperation in fields like trade, investment, energy, industry, infrastructure construction and labor service.

The two parties agreed that it was a vital part of completely developing friendship in enhancing economic cooperation. Qatar had abundant of oil and gas resources while China had a huge market, so that they had great economic complementarities. They were eagerly to cooperate in fields with broad prospect and huge potential like energy, investment and contracted project. It was believed by the two parties that the economic and trade relationship would develop sooner and better under the joint effort made by the governments and enterprises.
